So I've been meaning to post my updates ~ I am soo excited I finally kicked my allergies. No more sitting at my desk at work with a wet cloth on my eyes and the lights out & the shades drawn. By noontime, I was usually starting my second box of kleenex. One of the assistants at work had suggested to me a ton of times to eat wasabi straight and that will help clear stuff. Of course, by the 4th week of these allergies, I would have tried just about anything. So I went to the grocery store and grabbed a big wad of it and ate a chunk. After a little wasabi therapy and some nose spray stuff from the doctor, I'm all good.
Oct 7th was a little scary for all of us; apparently I've been sitting too long at my day job and that caused a problem for the little baby's lunchbox (aka: placenta but for some reason I hate that word ) On Sunday I had a little spotting, and to be safe, Patrick and I went right to the hospital. I was put on bedrest for a few days with a couple follow-ups with our regular doctor, and everything is thankfully back to normal. But I will say, so far it's been hit or miss with the people at Providence St. Joseph's.
I'll keep it simple but here's a great example: After the 20 minute ultrasound, where the tech gave us the heartbeat, Patrick even saw the little baby moving and stretching; she asked me if I have had a pregnancy test yet. Seriously. Did she not just see a 13-14 wk old baby? I looked around to see if by chance there was an empty bottle of vodka or something, but nothing that she could have been drinking. Patrick straightened her out. So I'm just hoping that the wingnuts that we came by that day are taking the day off we have our little baby in April! But that was just one example ...
Kurty has decided after 7 years, he's moving in with a buddy of his & a huge dog around Nov 1st. He's taking Zena with him, which I'm sure Patrick is excited about, he's had quite a round of kitty crap duty since I can't touch it now. And he does like Zena better than Cole (Sorry Sheri!) he's definitly no where near being labeled a cat-lover. While we're sad to see Kurt go, it'll be cool to start the rooms. Thank God we have a 5 gallon bucket of primer to cover up red paint . I've put the final coat of paint on almost all of the crown molding in the living room & dining room. Its crazy how it changed those two rooms. I'm hunting for two new ceiling fans & then the rooms will be all set. I can't wait to pull down those 1973 fans that are in there now! The top bases are rusted and junky so that will totally lift the room.
Okay, hope everyone has a sweet weekend & I'll post soon!
